Garden for your future foods

Recently with all that has been going on in the world I have been noticing a change in things that some of you might have already noticed as well, but I am just writing about. Food prices are going up. We have known for some time now that Fuel prices were on the rise and most of us just buckle under and pay the extra 5 to 10 bucks per fuel-up as a matter of course because we have to drive so we have to pay. But while this is our everyday thing food production is based on the Fuels and Fertilizers that a farmer has to use as well as everyone in the packaging and shipping arenas for that same food.

The Government has been telling us that Core Inflation has been low for so many months that I have stopped listening to them. I am sure more people than I know have also stopped listening to the broken record of "there is nothing to worry about, see core inflation is flat". What many Congress people don't notice is food prices. I am sure if they were buying like the rest of us they might notice, but I just don't see Mrs., or Mr. Congress person shopping at Krogers to get each and every meal they fix at home. I guess what I need to do before I write about them is to go ask one or more of them what they know about food prices.

So I did the next best thing. I called my brother who along with his wife make about as much as a senator does. And when asked if they noticed the change in food prices the answer was " No not very much." There you have it.

So you the reader have you noticed the changes in food prices?
Let us know.

By the way I never did get to the title of this essay, Guess I'll have ot pake this a two parter.
To Be Continued.

September Blues and Clues

September that long slow month when School really starts for us old timers, the Fall weather starts to happen, and the clues to our existance really start hitting us again after the long summer months.

I have 3 clues, and I am selling them to the highest bidder!! Okay I have no clues, really, but if I had any clues I would be selling them because I need the money. On Sept 11th I wrecked my van. On Sept 13th I found out my 3rd ex-wife whom I intend on getting remarried to at some future date, was in the Hospital again due to her heart giving her the troubles it has been causing her for the last 2 years or so, more so in the last year than anytime else. As it now stands she is going to have surgery and they are going to do something to her that she nor I know to much about, I will let you all know in time to send her gobs of flowers and cards and such. Just send them to Baptist Memorial North Little Rock Arkansas 72117 in care of Barbara Kay Owens, She still has that name even though we are devorced.

I have my two feet as transportation devices and I will get some use out of them sooner rather than later. I have been trying to get my hindquarters in gear about running for President in 2008, most of my family thinks I am crazier than a 3 dollar Loonie, but I have had several people ask for my web-site address and even tell me they would vote for me. So I guess I had better find out what the states require for me to be a write in for them. I know some only allow it if I am the holder of X number of signatures of their voting public, while others do not require anything but a valid US citizenship and having at least 3 brain cells. If any of you folks out there have clues let me know. ceojr1963@yahoo.com

Recycle your life away

Today the wilds of the world were totally zoned out, it had rained 2 days straight and I have been so thankful for that rain even though I drove over 275 miles in those 2 days and was in and out of my van in the wet all day both those days. The state and especially the "Right Here" in my yard was bone dry and even the water from the faucet was getting dusty.

The wilds of today were filled with sunshine and the bueatiful moggy feeling that the after rain party always feels like in the deep south. The odometer reads 339 miles today and I am getting ready to wonder how much fuel left I have out of this tank to go in the morning because I am about to get back into it and hit the roads again.

One thing that I have realized that I wanted to get out of my head onto a hunk of paper and let everyone read about, was that I have been recycling all my life.

You do it because you want to save the planet in most cases, or you have been taught it is a good idea because you need to save money and that is the only way you can save money is if you wash off those paper plates and use them again for dinner too. No joke, I know someone that washs off the Poly-Oil Plates that she buys and uses, for the next time she is going to eat off them, then when they are used twice, they cover things in her microwave, or do something else useful around the house. That is what we call frugal. She grew up during the Great Depression, we use that excuse to keep the guys that want to put her away in the padded rooms happy.

I recycle cause I want to save the Universe.

I figure if I don't recycle who will, I have to start the trend and get this ball rolling. 13 Billion years old and the Universe is getting used up already, if we don't start recycling soon, it will all get wasted on, well, Um It will get wasted, enough said.

Then a friend told me that Earth was only about 4 billion years old and the Sun just a few billion years older than that. Wow, young pups. Someone must have washed those poly-hydro plates for a while before they finaly got used to fill in the earthen landfill down the bend at Milky Way Gardens.

Recycle your life away, the Universe is running out of spare things I heard just the other day that it is shrinking and not only that, something even more dire is going on. Someone has been throwing things out there and no one knows what the heck it is. They call it Dark Matter. Trash, just another word for trash I say. We here in my household have been recycling to save the Universe and here I find out that someone has be cluttering up the place with Dark Matter trash and it is taking up more room than they ever thought it could. Wow, I bet someone is going to have to pay for this!

........

On a side note, Someone needs to e.mail GOD and tell him to get busy, It is his turn to take the trash out.

Unconditionaly yours

Dear Friends,

Many things happen in your life that you can not explain unless you look back and see them as if studying your own history, digging in the dirt of your past, sifting through the dust bin of old forgotten things that got lost when you were not looking, or things that you threw there for a reason. History is all about learning what happened in the past so that you can explain the things that are going on today in some reasonable light, or at least try to understand why things are going like they are now in the present. Personal history is rift with things that we can not explain at the time that they happen and sometimes never can see how they fit into the whole picture.

I am a thinker. I have tuned my mind for years in such a way as to live out my whole storyline in my head long long before I ever put pen to paper and tried to tell others what was going on in my head. Poems are the only thing that I write as they are thought out in general, though I do pen a few essays by just downloading thought to keystroke, like this post.

For years I have been trying to find my history, hunting in dark corners of my mind oft times finding things that I did not know were there and am glad I had forgotten they were there. But recently I have been hunting for the meaning of my life, and though I think I know where my life is headed that is not the topic of this post. Hunting for meaning in my life has led me down the alleyways of the dark places in my mind. History seekers sometimes find things out about the world they are investigating that shock them and shake the norms they have grown up to knowing. So in looking back into your own personal past be careful to remember you might not like what you find out, even though you thought what you knew was unchangable.

More on this general theme in another post.
Charles.
